Trek Bicycles

As the Art Director for road bikes at Trek, I’ve designed the past three iterations of the brand’s flagship bike: The Madone. The latest release — the eighth edition — is dubbed the ultimate race bike. It combines best-in-class aerodynamics and light weight in a single package with no compromises. Shown here is a stock Madone SLR 9 followed by the version raced by the Lidl/Trek professional cycling teams.

Gravel Bikes

Trek’s gravel family includes the Checkmate for speedy rides, and the Checkpoint for enhanced capability. As the art director and graphic designer for gravel, I’ve created multiple “character badges,” which are icons that connect the rider to the product usage. The Checkmate features a chess knight made with a “C” and “M”. The Checkpoint has a waypoint marker formed from a “C” and “P”.

Kids Bikes

A study in contrasts. In the Trek lineup, the furthest you can get from the flagship Madone is our gateway kid’s bikes. When we were short a city designer, I jumped in to lead the graphic design and art direction for the award-winning Wahoo trail and Wahoo path children’s bikes
